Award Winning Brownies


Usually, I am lazy and make brownies from the Betty Crocker box mix. But sometimes I make brownies from an old recipe I've had for years. They taste a little more authentic, and they are no more difficult to make. This recipe fills a small pan. Double it for more love.

Award Winning Brownies

2 eggs
3/4 c. sugar
1 t. vanilla
3/4 c. ground chocolate (Ghiradelli)
1/2 c. butter, melted
2/3 c. flour
1/4 t. baking powder
1/4 t. salt

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Using a spoon, stir eggs with sugar and vanilla; add butter.
Sift chocolate, flour, baking powder and salt together. Stir into egg mixture.
Spread into a greased 8-inch square pan.
Bake 20-30 minutes.
Test with a toothpick to see if done.
