Saucy Asparagus Casserole

I made a new side dish tonight that was extremely easy and very tasty. It doesn't look that great in the picture, but trust me, it is worth a try if you like asparagus.

Saucy Asparagus Casserole

2 lbs. asparagus, washed & trimmed
1 can Cream of Asparagus soup
1/3 c. milk
1/2 c. plain bread crumbs (I used Panko)
2 T. butter, melted

Place the asparagus in a 13 x 9 x 2 inch shallow baking dish.
Stir the soup and milk together in a small bowl and pour over the asparagus.
Mix bread crumbs with melted butter in a small bowl and sprinkle over the soup mixture.
Bake at 400 degrees for 30 minutes or until golden brown and bubbly.

Makes 6 servings.
